We turned to both network and social media for current events and were exposed to the global panic. We witnessed the world try to come together in peace and unity, only to nearly tear itself apart. Companies fed us images and messaging solely to capture our attention and profit from it, regardless of the impact on the human mind. Scrolling through catastrophes in rapid-fire, the internet provided us with an instant connection to unending events, whether true or false, moral or disturbing. Terrible and unbelievable!
As the 9th track on Quick Kick's upcoming full-length album, "Get off the Roof" is a hard-hitting observation of these global events, delving deep into the chaos and confusion. It also hopes to remind everyone that if we stand together, seeking hope and positive outcomes, we can find a way through this madness.
However, as we continue to untangle and interpret this detrimental messaging, I keep returning to the same two words that offer very little enlightenment:
Toilet Paper.

Introducing Quick Kick's latest release and the 7th track from the upcoming full-length album! This song is an intimate glimpse into the journey of mental health and the transformative power of altering one’s mindset. While I am blessed with an incredible life and undeniable support, it’s true that sometimes our minds play tricks on us, leading us into seemingly insurmountable challenges.
This track marks a shift from a fully electronic sound to an upbeat indie rock vibe, serving as a pivotal bridge to even heavier songs that are slated for release soon.
Streaming on all usual channels, "Whatever Makes You Feel Better" aims to resonate, reminding you that you are not alone and that it’s possible to change the course of your own game.
Amidst the pandemic's grip, with national and global lockdowns in effect, my singular focus was clear: protect my family at all costs. As homeschooling became our new norm and industries pivoted to digital realms, the relentless stream of news bulletins weighed heavily, casting a shadow of uncertainty. The initial weeks were surreal, isolating us from our usual social rhythms, driving a desperate need for connection and solace.
Enter a Tuesday night ritual – a digital sanctuary where friends converged, sharing our fears and speculating on the future. From battling on distant planets to racing through virtual SoCal streets, we found solace in collective escapism. Then, after ten months, a new portal emerged, whisking us into history – a world devoid of technology, where nature reigned supreme.
In this isolated paradise, we embarked on a grand adventure, encountering excitement and danger at every turn. Amongst a motley crew of companions, DEATH PROOF was born, our escapades fueling dreams of real-world exploits. In this isolated state, I made my great escape.

Bio
Born into the cataclysmic collision of punk smashing its three chord chaos against the shifting, sliding shores of psychedelia, Colin Kelday, better known as Quick Kick, emerged from the slumber of suburbia to embark on a career that has lead from hostile house parties to opening for major influences like Pop Will It Itself; co-producing the final album of The Watchmen and scoring the cult hit film How to Be Deadly.
From the moment he sprouted ears and learned to tap his toes, Quick Kick’s musical maneuvers have constantly evolved: catalyzed and coalesced by the sounds he encounters. From Morricone to Depeche Mode, from the Muppet Show to Motorhead, Quick Kick received, absorbed, synthesized and re-output.
As comfortable under the lights as he is behind the boards, he has lived, survived and thrived on stage and in studio. No evolution is possible without imperfect iterations; throughout his career Kelday has formed, nurtured and ended bands such as Spahitch, Statik, Osgoode under the inscrutable handle SNOOG.
His style and sound as varied as his influences, the upcoming release of his 8th full length album represents an artist at the peak of his abilities. Now crystallized into the sensational sonic form of Quick Kick, he draws on the rich symphony of his past to craft beats that feed and soothe the future soul.
